Castelvecchio Vermouth Riposo Del Soldato

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Riposo del Soldato is an elegant vermouth, born from the idea of enhancing red wine and creating a unique product.
  • With this vermouth the vitality of the wine is accompanied by classic aromatic and botanical plants of the Friuli and Karst tradition.

Varietal Composition: 60% gentian the rest is Absinthe, Rhubarb, mint, artichoke, thyme, orange peel and licorice.

Elaboration: To achieve the intended results a greater amount of wine is used than in traditional vermouths and no chemical stabilizers or preservatives are added. For this reason, a larger amount of wine has been used, in comparison to the usual vermouths, and no chemical stabilizer nor preservative has been added, except for pure grain alcohol. Possible precipitations after opening are due to the absence of stabilizers and attest the artisanal nature of the production process. The ABV is set at 18% with the intention of best preserving the organoleptic properties of the product.

Tasting Notes: Nice Garnet red color with brick shades. Scent of Red fruits, bitter orange, balsamic notes. Taste Round, hints of lemon balm. Final Sweet, clean with notes of absinthe.
