Champagne P.Boutet Brut

Champagne P. Boutet NV Brut

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • P. Boutet Champagne Brut is an affordable non-vintage sparkling wine that features a classic blend representing the diverse soils of the Champagne region.
  • The grape varieties come from several terroirs, including Pinot Noir from the Côte des Bar, Pinot Meunier from the Aisne, and Chardonnay from both the Aisne and the Massif de Saint-Thierry.
  • It is designed to be approachable and food-friendly.

Varietal Composition: 49% Pinot Noir, 36% Pinot Meunier, 15% Chardonnay

Elaboration: P. Boutet Champagne Brut is made using the méthode champenoise. Hand-picked grapes are gently pressed to create a blend of base wines. The wine is bottled with sugar and yeast, sealed, and aged in a cool cellar for at least 15 months. During this time, a second fermentation produces bubbles, and the bottles are riddled to remove sediment.

Tasting Notes: A bright pale-yellow hue revealing a fine and lively effervescence. An expressive nose combining white and red fresh fruits, enhanced on aeration by brioche, toasted, and subtly honeyed notes. A subtle balance of freshness and aromatic complexity. A lively and fresh palate, combining the fruity suppleness of Pinot Meunier with the structure and length of Pinot Noir. The elegant and persistent finish reveals buttery brioche, red fruits, and candied citrus zest, resulting in a harmonious, well-balanced Champagne.
