Amulet Estate ‘AE’ Sauvignon Blanc

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Nestled on a gently sloping block within their estate vineyard, this Sauvignon Blanc has been in the making for years.
  • The 2024 ‘AE’ Sauvignon Blanc is the inaugural release from Amulet’s Estate Vineyard.
  • The planting includes three distinct clones—Clone 1, Clone 376, and Clone 30—each contributing unique character and complexity.
  • By refining their understanding of the maturing vines, and the wine has captured the site’s potential: a wine of clarity, layered minerality, and elegant texture.

Varietal: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Tasting Notes: There’s an exciting combination of texture, length, and precision. Medium straw in color, the AE Sauvignon Blanc bursts out of the glass with aromatics of lemon curd, honeysuckle, wet stone and juicy stone fruit. In the mouth spirited acidity is met by flavors of fresh white peach, golden apple, savory herbs and pastry cream balanced by clean minerality all giving way to a long mouthwatering finish.

Elaboration: The fruit was vinified using various vessels: 46% in concrete egg, 28% in new French oak, 20% in used French oak, and 6% in stainless steel.
