Varietal Composition: 100% Chardonnay

Elaboration: The Chardonnay is produced by thinning and selection of clusters on the farm after choosing the best rows in the vineyard. It is then manually harvested and placed in boxes of 15 kg. Cluster selection and direct pressing in a reductive environment. Fermentation takes place at low temperature for 15 days in ovoid vessels.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of white fruit with mineral notes. Good balance on the palate, acidity and finesse, fresh structure.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
The Argentinian winery, La Coste de Los Andes, is an enterprise of the prestigious French winery Chateau La Coste. The vineyard is located in Los Chacayes, Valle de Uco, Mendoza at the foot of the Andes Mountains. Mendoza, in the Cuyo Wine Region, is home to 75% of Argentina’s vineyards.

The winery, which produces wine under the Andillian and other labels, is managed by winemaker Lucas Gimenez Bachiocchi and advisor Michel Rolland. A key to their philosophy is respect for the terroir through sustainable viticulture and preserving the environment of this unique wine region. This includes protecting the fertility and essence of the soils. Since 2014, the vineyards have been certified organic by Argencert.
