Uggiano Roccialta Chianti Classico

Uggiano Roccialta Chianti Classico

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • The Uggiano Chianti Classico Roccialta is a red wine from Tuscany, Italy, renowned for its ideal Chianti Classico qualities.
  • This well-balanced wine features good acidity and a pleasant finish.
  • Predominantly made from Sangiovese grapes, with a smaller percentage of Canaiolo (a red Italian wine grape grown through Central Italy but is most noted in Tuscany).
  • Enjoyable now and has the potential to improve with age, possibly lasting up to a decade.

Varietal: 85%+ Sangiovese, 15% Canaiolo and other red grapes

Elaboration: A large ageing cellar contains 3000-6000Lt. Slavonian oak casks and 225Lt. French oak barrels for aging Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah, enhancing their aromatic characteristics before bottling.

Tasting Notes: The fragrant bouquet is dominated by violet, cherry and blackberry. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and dry; the soft tannins and moderate acidity contribute to the structure of this Tuscan treasure.
