- This Blagden Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Monte Rosso Vineyard, which is situated in the Moon Mountain appellation.
- This renowned vineyard spans 250 acres and is located 1,300 feet above sea level on the southwest side of the Mayacamas Range.
- Monte Rosso Vineyard is known for producing wines with high acidity, thanks to its volcanic influence and the mineral-rich Red Hill Loam soil.
Varietals: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Elaboration: The wine was inoculated with MT yeast and EnoFerm Alpha for malolactic fermentation. It was aged in 100% French oak, with 60% being new, for 21 months.
Tasting Notes: Incredibly dark, rich, and fresh, you would never know this wine is over 15 years old. Lots of dark fruit, soft tannins, and a lengthy finish.

Blagden Winery, founded by winemaker Catherine Blagden in 2006, is a boutique California wine label renowned for its limited-production Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon. With a master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology from UC Davis, Catherine honed her skills working with notable winemaker Greg La Follette and at Domaine Dujac in Burgundy.
