Bodega Renacer Punto Final Reserva Cabernet Franc
WHY WE LOVE IT
- This Cabernet Franc from two different vineyards sites, Vistaflores (4,265 F above sea level – calcareous soils) and Perdriel (3,117 F above sea level – silty loam soils.
- The vineyards are more than 15 years old, with yields of less than 8 Tn per Ha
Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet Franc
Elaboration: Harvest done by hand. Double manual selection of clusters and berries. Maceration period of 12 days 8ºC. Fermented with native yeasts during 15 days in stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 27 and 29ºC. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
Tasting Notes: This deep and intense ruby colored wine opens with notes of black pepper, eucalyptus and fresh mint aromas that merge with notes of vanilla and chocolate. Soft touches of French oak provide complexity and elegance. It has a sweet impact and soft, velvety tannins. Fruity, with reflections of red fruits and spicy veins. Good body and concentration with a long and persistent finish

Bodega Renacer was founded by Patricio Reich, who has been in the wine industry since the late 1980s. He started his career as a partner and managing director of Viña San Pedro in Chile. His passion for wine grew over the years, and it was then that as a family – together with his children – they decided to embark on a new project aimed at producing premium wines.
Built in 2004 in Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo, at the foot of the Andes Mountains, the winery is a tower with Tuscan- inspired walls, pergolas and Italian-style gardens to honor their family roots and create a warm and welcoming space for all who visit.
The Renacer vineyards are located in Perdriel, a unique area of Mendoza – Argentina, at the foot of the Andes Mountains and on the south margin of the Mendoza River. In this area Malbec and Cabernets find their best expression due to the outstanding characteristics of climate, altitude, soil and water.
30 hectares of estate vineyards, some of them more than seventy years old, planted with Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with a production of less than 8 tons per hectare. In order to take advantage of the expressions of the different terroirs of Mendoza, Renacer works long term relationships with the best local producers in the micro-regions of Valle de Uco and Luján de Cuyo.
