Tomero Cabernet Franc
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Tomero is Bodega Vistalba’s varietal wines, made with grapes from Finca Don Antonio. They highlight the terroir of Los Arboles Tunuyán Valle de Uco.
- The Cabernet Franc grapes were planted in 2010 in organic soil with good porosity and drainage in the first layers with presence of deep gravel.
- The location of the vineyard is 1,020 meters above sea level.
- Bodega Vistalba uses organic farming management practices.
Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet Franc
Elaboration: High canopy with good exposed leaf surface and good ventilation of clusters through charger and python pruning. Manual harvesting. Traditional production, cold pre-fermentation maceration for 3 days, work on the cap carried out through pumping over and trampling. Fermentation temperature of 25°C. Aging of 20% of the wine in French oak barrels for 6 months.
Tasting Notes: Medium intensity ruby red. Notes of red pepper, paprika and allspice appear well marked, which are complexed with red fruits. At the end, graphite notes appear. Sweet on the palate, with silky tannins. Good freshness and long finish.
