Tomero Malbec
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Tomero is Bodega Vistalba’s varietal wines, made with grapes from Finca Don Antonio. They highlight the terroir of Los Arboles Tunuyán Valle de Uco.
- The Malbec vines were planted in 2000 and grow in shallow soil, loamy-sandy texture, low fertility with the presence of fragmented stones.
- The vineyard is 1,090 meters above sea level.
Varietal Composition: 100% Malbec
Elaboration: Drip irrigation. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for two days. Work on the cap carried out through pump-overs, delestages and trampling. Fermentation temperature 25 °C. Aged 20% in French oak for 8 months and 80% in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes: Intense red with violet reflections. Aromas reminiscent of red fruits. Sweet entry, good structure and acidity, silky tannins and long persistence.
