Tomero Single Vineyard Pinot Noir
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Tomero is Bodega Vistalba’s varietal wines, made with grapes from Finca Don Antonio. They highlight the terroir of Los Arboles Tunuyán Valle de Uco.
- This Pinot Noir comes from a single vineyard that was planted in 1994 on a terrior that is 1,090 meters above sea level on soils of medium depth, loam-sandy-silty texture, low fertility with the presence of fragmented stones.
Varietal Composition: 100% Pinot Noir
Elaboration: Drip irrigation. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 3 days. Fermented in conical French oak vats, through the carbonic maceration technique of 50% of destemmed clusters. Work on the hat done through trampling. Fermentation temperature 25°C. › Aging in second-use French oak barrels and 3500-liter foudres for 12 months.
Tasting Notes: Bright, very subtle ruby red. At first, fruity notes reminiscent of cherries and strawberries are perceived. In a second layer, floral and herbal aromas and an earthy memory are perceived. The palate is light and fresh but has a long finish leaving a sweet and silky sensation.
