Bodegas Condado de Haza Reserva
WHY WE LOVE IT
- The Condado de Haza Reserva is a 100% Tempranillo Crianza from Ribera del Duero, Spain, by the Familia Fernández Rivera.
- The wine comes from the winery’s own vineyards located in Roa and La Horra, at an altitude of approximately 800 meters.
- The soil in this region is heterogeneous, primarily consisting of clay and sandy compositions.
- The average age of the vines is around 30 years.
Varietals: 100% Tempranillo
Elaboration: The vinification process is traditional, involving de-stemming and fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. It is aged for at least 12 months in French oak barrels before being bottled.
Tasting Notes: Clean and bright red wine. Beautiful cherry red color with a violet hue. A high aromatic intensity with hints of ripe black fruit and dairy notes. A wide range of aromas emerges, including spicy, balsamic, and roasted notes. A powerful entry on the palate, with pronounced notes of fruit and roasted aromas, a creamy texture, and well-defined tannins with perfectly integrated acidity. The finish reveals the sweetest aspects of dark fruit, such as blackberries and plum. The oak is beautifully integrated, with toasty, smoky, and spicy notes characteristic of French oak aging, alongside the sweeter aromas of roasted coffee and cocoa. It is a powerful, structured wine yet elegant and complex. Long finish.
