Bodegas Dehesa La Granja
Dehesa La Granja is a renowned Spanish estate in Zamora, Castilla-León, owned by the Fernández Rivera family. Acquired in 1998 by Alejandro Fernández and Esperanza Rivera, Alejandro is often referred to as the “Master of Tempranillo” or the “King of Tempranillo” due to his notable contributions to winemaking.
The estate spans 800 hectares and is considered one of the most beautiful in Zamora. It features a combination of viticulture, agriculture, and livestock farming, which together produce aged cheeses, cultivate chickpeas, and extract extra virgin olive oil, and as one might expect, wines made with Tempranillo grapes and aged for extended periods in American oak.
In this exceptional setting, the Tempranillo wines are crafted in historic 18th-century underground cellars—a remarkable 3,000-square-meter cave built in 1750—providing an unbeatable environment for preserving the secrets of these noble and intense wines.
