Bodegas Tinto Pesquera

Bodegas Tinto Pesquera, founded in 1975 by Alejandro Fernández and Esperanza Rivera in Ribera del Duero, Spain, is a legendary winery known for elevating the region to global prominence. Alejandro Fernández, often called the “Master of Tempranillo” or the “King of Tempranillo,” has gained recognition for his work in Ribera del Duero with Tinto Pesquera.

The winery is part of the Familia Fernández Rivera group and was established with the specific goal of demonstrating that high-quality, long-aging wines could be produced in La Mancha, a region traditionally associated with bulk wine production. Bodegas Tinto Pesquera serves as a cornerstone of the Familia Fernández Rivera group.

In 2019, management of the winery was passed on to the granddaughters of Esperanza Rivera and Alejandro Fernández.
