WHY WE LOVE IT

The Old Adam is a combination of parcels of wine from the best blocks of shiraz from our vineyards. These vineyards are influenced by the temperate micro climate of warm days, cool evenings and dry conditions which prevail in Langhorne Creek during the ripening season.
Every vintage, each parcel of shiraz is assessed and the most outstanding are nurtured and then blended to create the Old Adam. This maintains the quality, distinction and reputation of this fine wine.

Varietal Composition: 100% Shiraz

Elaboration: The concentrated, high quality parcels of fruit were fermented in open vats and then matured for 22 months in new and seasoned specifically selected, extra fine grain American and French Oak. Additional 12 months maturation in bottle allows full integration of oak and fruit tannin.

Tasting Notes: Intense rich fruit flavors and elegant integrated oak, providing a delicious well structured complex wine.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND

Bremerton Wines & Bremerton Vineyards are part of the Willson family owned company, Bremerton Vintners Pty Ltd. resides in the geographical region of Langhorne Creek in South Australia. Initially Bremerton purchased 40 ha in 1985. Today they own 120 ha of high quality vineyards, a modern winery and produce up to up to 18 unique wines annually.

Winemaker Rebecca Willson and Marketing Manager, Lucy Willson have focused the family’s wine range on high quality and individualistic wines. For the past 17 years Bremerton Wines has been awarded the James Halliday 5 star rated winery which ranks us in the top 5% of all Australian Wineries.
