Cellers Unio Montsant Garnaxta Perlat

Cellers Unio Montsant Garnaxta “Perlat”

  • Perlat is from DO Montsant, a prestigious Designation of Origin in central Catalonia, encircling the well-known DOQ Priorat. Often dubbed the “diamond in the rough,” DO Montsant has quickly gained a global reputation as a top wine region.
  • Wine production here dates back thousands of years, and the area is noted for its environmentally respectful agricultural practices.
  • Vineyards are set on mountainous slopes alongside olive groves, forests, and rocky terrain.

Varietal Composition: Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah

Elaboration: Aged 10 months in oak.

Tasting Notes: A modern wine with great aromatic intensity. Dark cherry color with aromas of semi-ripe red fruit evoking blackberries, raspberries, and blackcurrant. In the nose, mineral notes and a touch of tofu and coffee. Opens widely in the mouth. Fresh, silky, and elegant. Lingering finish that’s remarkable for its distinctive personality, one only the rugged terroirs of Montsant could offer.
