Champagne D’Armanville Brut Rosé
WHY WE LOVE IT
- The grapes for this champagne are grown in the Côte des Bar (Arce Valley), the southernmost appellation of the Champagne region, known for its Kimmeridgian limestone and clay soils. This terroir lends the wine an “extraordinary mineral quality”.
- It is primarily made from Pinot Noir grapes (which thrive in this region), with a portion of Chardonnay from various harvests.
- A delightful champagne that captivates at first sight.
- Champagne D’Armanville practices sustainable agriculture techniques.
Varietals: 65% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay
Elaboration: Vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Partial malolactic fermentation. Blended with 15% still red wine from Pinot Noir.
Tasting Notes: A salmon-pink wine with a lovely brick-red tint gives life to a cordon of light bubbles. The smell is expressive, warm, and pleasing with its notes of red fruits and soft spices. The mouth is soft and fluid, full-blown. The aromas of the red fruits are expressed with great finesse.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Champagne D’Armanville is a family-owned Champagne house in the Côte des Bar region of France, where 130 vine-growing families cultivate 325 hectares of vineyards. Known for its expressive Pinot Noir, the winery has a romantic origin story involving a winemaker who created a sparkling wine to win the affection of Lady D’Armanville. This tradition continues today, with modern techniques and sustainable practices embraced by its descendants.
