Château Brane Cantenac
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Château Brane-Cantenac is a standout Margaux (Second Growth) which balances high-intensity, ripe black fruit with the appellation’s signature elegance.
- Henri Lurton has dedicated this wine to his father, Lucien.
- The wine features fine-grained tannins and benefits from old vine Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Careful cap management during fermentation yields deep, structural tannins that should last 25 to 30 years.
Varietals: 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc, 1% Carmenère, 1% Petit Verdot
Elaboration: Extraction of the small berries was carefully controlled. Vinification took place in oak casks. The wine was aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Magnificently fruity, fleshy, dense, and immensely long wine, with rich, velvety tannins. Very fresh and perfectly balanced.
