Chateau De Poncie Fleurie Le Pré Roi

Château de Poncié Fleurie Le Pré Roi

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Le Pré Roi is made from four of the finest and very complimentary parcels of the estate: “Montgenas” bringing the fruit, “Sous le Parc” for floral notes, finesse from “La Brirette” and concentration from “Les Carcans”.
  • Aged in oak casks and matured for 5 months in small tanks to preserve freshness.

Varietal Composition: 100% Gamay

Elaboration: Burgundian in style, the authentic and original style of Beaujolais: no carbonic maceration, each plot vinified in small vats, with cold maceration followed by a long 8-12-day fermentation with gentle “pigeage.”

Tasting Notes: This blend creates a very lovely and elegant wine, perfectly balanced with notes of blueberry and violet.
