Château Guitignan Moulis en Medoc Cru Bourgeois
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Moulis en Medoc, Listrac’s often ignored baby neighbor of an AOC, and the left bank go-to for every young right bank vigneron who can’t afford to drink Dauzac on random Tuesday nights!
- This tiny appellation shares a boundary with Margaux, and this 300-year-old estate is our go-to in the region.
Varietal Composition: 60% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot
Elaboration:
Tasting Notes: The bouquet with scents of fruit, vanilla and tobacco. The ample palate charms the taster with aromas of mocha, lightly jammed red fruits and toasted bread.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Château Guitignan is a 300-year-old wine estate anchored in the heart of the village of Moulis, near the very old Romanesque church. The building of Château Guitignan is a bourgeois house which fully evokes the history of this wine property. In fact, it has existed since the 18th century and, very rarely, has belonged to the same family since its creation.
Today managed by Bernard Vidaller and his daughter Cécile, the vineyard extends over 7.5 hectares, on clayey gravel between Brillette and Grand-Poujeaux.
