Chateau Hermitage Mazyres

Château Hermitage Mazeyres

Château Hermitage Mazeyres is a distinguished family-owned estate nestled in the renowned Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux, which is famous for its exceptional red wines. This estate has a rich history, having been continuously passed down through generations from woman to woman, by inheritance, since its establishment in 1830.

The vines, aged between 40 and 60 years, are cultivated according to the purest traditions and with respect for the land. Their Pomerol is an expression of a craft and expertise passed down for over 180 years. Currently, Château Hermitage Mazeyres is under the stewardship of Marianne de Pedro, who continues to uphold the estate’s legacy while introducing innovative practices to further enhance the quality of their wines. The vineyard is strategically located on the lower section of the property, where the soil composition and climatic conditions are particularly favorable for grape cultivation.

The estate typically produces Merlot-dominant blends, which are characteristic of the Pomerol region. These wines are known for their elegance, complexity, and ability to age gracefully. The management team at Château Hermitage Mazeyres places a strong emphasis on sustainable vineyard practices to ensure the health of the vines and the surrounding ecosystem, reflecting their dedication to producing wines that express the true terroir of Pomerol.
