Château Petit Serin

Yohan Juste started as a carpenter and won the Meilleur Ouvrier de France award at the age of 27. He worked in the family business at many of most beautiful and prestigious châteaux in the Médoc. Over the course of projects and discussions with his clients, this craftsman developed a new passion: the growing of small plots in the heart of the Médoc vineyards, including in the Margaux appellation, and the production of his own wine using modern, high-quality techniques.

He named his first wine Château Linot (Saint-Estèphe), (a linot is a linnet) in memory of when he would come to the area as a child to see these little whistling birds common in the northern Médoc. He continued with the creation of two more wines, Château Serin (Haut-Médoc) and Château Petit Serin (Margaux), named after the region’s small bright yellow songbirds (finches).

Yohan began conversion of the property to Organic Agriculture with the 2020 harvest.
