Chateau Petit Serin Margaux

 Château Petit Serin Margaux

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Yohan Juste’s relatively new Château Petit Serin is by all of our measures the smallest winery in Margaux – His 1.7 acre holdings are smaller than many of your yards!
  • Old vines and organic viticulture make a huge difference on this gravel-strewn property.

Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet

Elaboration: The vineyard terroir consists of sandy gravel on the surface with a clay subsoil. Hand harvested. Vinified in temperature controlled stainless steel vats by gravity. 4-weeks with racking for gentle extraction. Aged 18 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: Château Petit Serin has a dense, deep color. The nose exudes the fiery freshness of a 100 % Cabernet Sauvignon, the star grape variety of the Médoc. Notes of white pepper emerge filling out a very ethereal bouquet. The attack is engaging, dynamic, direct and lively. The palate continues with a soft, elegant structure. The finish is long and flavorful
