Château Capdet Listrac-Medoc Cru Bourgeois
WHY WE LOVE IT
- The Château Capdet blend is quite atypical in the region. The blending of Merlot and Cabernet gives it chewiness and power.
- This wine is particularly marked by the Cabernet Sauvignon grown on gravelly ridges of Fonréaud by Jean-Marie Raymond.
- This is a Highly original appellation producing powerful and vigorous wines with great elegance. Listrac-Medoc stands at the margin of the two Medoc areas- the wine growing area and the forest land- and is the youngest communal appellation in the Medoc district.
Varietal Composition: 56% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon
Elaboration: Aging for 12 months in oak barrels allows it to refine its tannins and gives it roundness and fat.
Tasting Notes: Beautiful aromatic complexity that develops aromas of liquorice, chocolate and toast. Soft and fruity on the attack, the structured palate reveals aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant and ends in a long spicy finish.
