Dievole Chianti Classico 'Petrignano'

Dievole Chianti Classico ‘Petrignano’

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Dievole Chianti Classico ‘Petrignano’ is produced from 8-year-old vines.
  • This concentrated wine delivers rich flavors shaped by abundant fossil remains, deep roots, and the low vigor of local plants.
  • Petrignano showcases mineral-rich soils with limestone rock outcroppings typical of the Monte Morello Geological Formation.

Varietals: 100% Sangiovese

Elaboration: Guyot vine training. Fermentation for 4 to 15 days in 75 hl raw cement vats at a maximum temperature of 28 °C. Aged in 41 hl untoasted French oak barrels for about 1-3 months. Refined in the bottle for at least 3 months.

Tasting Notes: Ruby red color in the glass, deep and intense. The nose opens with intense, ripe fruity tones of plum and wild berries, then continues with flavors of tobacco, wet earth, and chalk. The taste is full and lively, with well-balanced tannins and a persistent, sapid finish.
