Du Pegau Sélection Laurence Féraud 15 Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Sélection Laurence Féraud Châteauneuf-du-Pape

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • This vintage rates better than any other year for this wine. This range consistently delivers outstanding value and some of the best wines in the region.
  • Terroirs and mistral are the two great assets of the appellation which offers four types of soil: the famous rolled pebbles, sand, limestone and finally red sandstone (clay).

Varietal Composition: Proprietary Red Blend. 70% Grenache Noir, 30% Syrah & Mourvèdre

Elaboration: The grapes are whole-cluster fermented in traditional, cement vats. The wine is aged on average for an average of 24 months in old foudres. At Pegau, they use a wide range of different old wood foudres. The oldest is close to 90 years of age and was made from wood imported from Russia.

Tasting Notes: Silky, medium-bodied wine that’s approachable. Leather and plum notes mingle easily on the palate and linger through the finish.
