Domaine La Provenquière Vin Orange
WHY WE LOVE IT
- This orange wine is crafted from white grape varieties vinified with their skins, creating a rare and sophisticated blend of Pinot Gris and Viognier.
- Grown in nutrient-rich clay-limestone soils on north-facing hills for optimal flavor and drainage.
- With aromas of candied fruit, apricot, and honeysuckle, it balances freshness and intensity, making it an ideal complement to a variety of dishes, from exotic to sweet and savory.
- Drink now or cellar for up to 5 years.
Varietal: Pinot Gris, Viognier
Elaboration: A white wine vinified like a red wine. Short pellicular maceration around 10 days with daily pumpings. Aged in Jar and stainless steel vat.
Tasting Notes: The amber color of this wine is vibrant with gold highlights. The nose is intense, releasing aromas of mandarin and candied fruits. The palate, complex and well structured, has a good balance between subtle honeyed notes and a fresh finish.
