Vite Colte Nizza Riserva 'La Luna e i Falo'

Vite Colte Riserva “La Luna e i Falo”

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • The Vite Colte Nizza Riserva ‘La Luna e i Falò’ is a distinguished 100% Barbera red wine from Piedmont, Italy, known for its intense and full-bodied character.
  • From the Nizza region, the wine benefits from calcareous, alkaline soils that are low in organic matter and experience dry summers.
  • With vineyards covering just 2 to 3 hectares, each vine yields about 1.5 kg of grapes, resulting in a concentrated wine rich in flavor and color.
  • This Riserva is released only in the best vintages.

Varietal Composition: 100% Barbera

Elaboration: Grapes are hand-harvested and grown in calcareous soils. The wine undergoes traditional fermentation and maceration for 10 to 12 days. After fermentation, it is aged for 12 months in barriques and then for an additional 12 months in large barrels.

Tasting Notes: Deep ruby red color. Rich and deep, with aromas of blackberries and cranberries. Fragrant aromas displaying vanilla, caramel, and coconut notes as well. Elegant and well-balanced with a pleasant and persistent hint of coffee and blackcurrants.
