Ego Bodegas Gorú
WHY WE LOVE IT
- The vineyard site is located in the D.O.P. of Jumilla.
- Vegan certified and Gluten Free.
Varietal Composition: Monastrell, Syrah, Petit Verdot
Elaboration: The harvest is done by hand at the optimum ripening time. Each grape variety was separately fermented and macerated with their own peels during 15/20 days at a controlled temperature no higher than 28º C. The blend then spends 4 months in American oak barrels before bottling.
Tasting Notes: Deep-red colored wine with purple edges, stands out because of its intense aroma of red and ripe fruit, pleasantly creamy, accompanied with touches of toasted tones. It is fruity and flavorful in the mouth, meaty and toasted with soft and ripe tannins.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Ego Bodegas is a Spanish winery located in Jumilla, a region known for its hot, dry climate and high-altitude vineyards. The winery is relatively new, established in 2011 by husband-and-wife team Santos Ortiz and Ioana Paunescu, with the goal of producing high-quality wines at affordable prices. The operation boasts 35 hectares (86 acres) of vineyard, predominantly planted to 50+ year old, ungrafted, bush vines with the Monastrell (Mourvèdre) grape. Their wines are known for being deeply fruity, concentrated, and highly perfumed.
Each bottle of wine from Ego bodegas carries the principles on which the winery was founded upon: Ego, Talento, and Infinito.
Ego : The concept of I. Talento : The ability to perform and carry out a task. Infinito : The power to dream without borders.
