ENTIAT Cordilleran Sauvignon Blanc
WHY WE LOVE IT
- A matrimony of two vineyard sites: Roxboro Vineyard attributes to the more austere and delicate lighter notes creating a backbone of bright acidity, while Open Gates Vineyard contributes the more robust structure and tropical notes.
Varietal Composition: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Elaboration: Fermented in separate lots in neutral oak and blended into stainless steel after a long cool fermentation to preserve aromatics.
Tasting Notes: Layered with honeysuckle, fresh tarragon, musky flowers with slight undertones of flint and salinity on the nose. Medium body. Mouth-watering acidity with honeycomb texture drives home the flavors of Crème Brulé, bright citrus, and white flowers.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
ENTIAT means “place of grassy water” and refers to the indigenous Entiat people and the Entiat River in Washington state. Husband and wife team Dan and Kelly Issig, along with their two young daughters, named their winery Entiat to recognize and appreciate the native tribe and pay tribute to their accomplishments and contributions to the Washington area.
ENTIAT focuses on North Central Washington, including Lake Chelan, the upper portions of the Columbia Valley, Rocky Reach AVA, and the Okanogan Valleys and source their fruit from exceptional growers. They chose this area because of the unique glacial deposits in the soil, allowing them to minimize inputs and additives and the distinctive climate, which slows the ripening of the grapes and extends their time on the vine. ENTIAT capitalizes on the natural environment featuring wines with depth and character and that reflect the terroir.
