Fèvre Fèvre Petit Chablis

Fèvre-Fèvre Petit Chablis

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Sourced from parcels situated beside the village of Fontenay-Près-Chablis.
  • This Petit Chablis grows on stony soils Jurassic limestone (Portlandien Limestone).
  • While most of Fèvre’s vineyards are between 15 and 25 years old and some are 75 years of age (planted by Nathalie’s Great Grandfather), this Chablis is created from young 5-year-old vines.

Varietal Composition: 100% Chardonnay

Elaboration: Vinification in air-conditioned stainless steel tanks, with low temperature for conserving the fruity character. Bottling and storage in air-conditioned cellar before shipping.

Tasting Notes: Fresh and very fruity (like English sweets), aromatic, pleasant and pleasant to drink.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND

One of the most recognized names in Chablis, the Fevre family has been producing wine in the region since the early 1800’s. Nathalie and Gilles Fevre operate this 106 acre estate where they are a leader in the appellation in terms of volume. Gilles’ Grandfather and father both held the position of President at the leading cooperative La Chablisienne, and Nathalie was the head winemaker there for 12 years (until recently all of their harvest was delivered to La Chablisienne).
