Fidélitas Red Mountain
Fidélitas embodies three core principles: faithfulness, loyalty, and truth. It signifies being true to one’s word, commitments, or obligations. For over twenty years, this esteemed family-owned winery, established by winemaker Charlie Hoppes, has been dedicated to sourcing exceptional fruit from its 15-acre estate and from renowned vineyard partners in the Red Mountain appellation. Its commitment to Bordeaux varieties is evident in its remarkable single-varietal and single-vineyard bottlings, as well as in exquisite blends that reflect the unique terroir of the region.
Charlie Hoppes is a well-known winemaker from Washington’s wine country. He developed a passion for viticulture early in his life. After earning a degree in Economics from Eastern Washington University, he worked as a flight test engineer at Boeing. However, his true passion lay in wine and winemaking. Eventually, he decided to pursue his calling and returned to school. In 1988, he graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Agricultural Science, focusing on Viticulture and Enology.
Hoppes returned to Washington, recognizing Red Mountains potential and taking on various winemaking roles, joining Chateau Ste. Michelle in 1990, managing the Canoe Ridge facility by 1993. He co-founded Three Rivers Winery in 1999, and produced the first Fidélitas Meritage in 2000. In 2005, he crafted his first 100% Red Mountain Merlot and by 2007 he established a tasting room, creating a Cabernet from his estate and cementing his legacy in the industry.
At Fidélitas, there’s a strong belief in showcasing Red Mountain’s terroir. They are devoted to their fruit, meticulous in their winemaking process, and inspired by the breathtaking landscape. Their ethos prioritizes honesty and transparency, evident in every bottle they produce. Known for distinctive Bordeaux-style wines and innovative techniques, Fidélitas offers exclusive tastings by reservation in both Red Mountain and Woodinville. Experience the exceptional craftsmanship and dedication that define Fidélitas —where every sip tells a story.
