GEN5 Ancestral Red

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • 5 generations; 5 varietals blended into this delicious, crowd-pleasing wine.

Varietal Composition: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Zinfandel, 5.5% Malbec, 4.5% Petite Sirah, 3% Merlot, 5% other varietals

Elaboration:  The GEN5 Ancestral Red comes from a collaboration between LangeTwins Winery and and Trellis Wine Group partner, Vino del Sol. The grapes come from a combination of estate vineyards in Lodi (92%) and Clarksburg (8%), California. A portion of the wine was aged 8 months in oak. Winemakers, Karen Birmingham and David Akiyoshi, practice 100% sustainable farming.

Tasting Notes: Lush flavors of wild blackberry pie and blueberries with hints of mocha and baking spices. Comforting and inviting with its rich dark fruit flavors, creamy texture, and velvety finish.
