Generazione Alessandro Croceferro Etna Rosso

Generazione Alessandro Croceferro Etna Rosso

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • The vineyards are on the north-eastern side, in the municipalities of Castiglione di Sicilia and Linguaglossa.
  • Generazione Alessandro is run by three cousins. A fourth generation family of winegrowers.

Varietal Composition: 100% Nerello Mascalese

Elaboration: The grapes are harvested manually, destemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation takes approximately 12 days in truncated conical steel vats with daily cap breaking carried out by punching down. Aged 12 months in French oak tonneaus, 30% of the mass refines in steel tanks. Kept at least 6 months in temperature controlled environment.

Tasting Notes: Light and bright ruby red color. Elegant floral notes of geranium and dog rose intertwine with delicate hints of strawberry and pomegranate, with a final nuance that recalls pleasant salty notes. Well-balanced sip alternates vibrant sensations with softer perceptions, giving the palate a sense of ethereal lightness enlivened by a finish that brings back juicy notes of pomegranate.
