Gravel and Loam Sauvignon Blanc

Gravel & Loam Sauvignon Blanc

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Gravel & Loam Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant, crisp New Zealand white wine known for its classic Marlborough character.
  • This Sauvignon Blanc is produced from vineyards in the Onamalutu River Valley within the renowned Wairau Valley.
  • The wine’s name directly reflects its unique soil composition and the producer’s philosophy that quality starts in the vineyard.
  • The region has a warm, dry climate during the day, with cool sea breezes at night. This temperature variation helps grapes ripen fully, enhancing fruit flavors while preserving acidity.
  • Gravel & Loam employs sustainable practices in its vineyard.

Varietals: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Elaboration: Harvested in the cool morning to maintain its natural acidity, the fruit was gently pressed, with the juice fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve vibrant aromas. The wine was then fined and filtered before bottling.

Tasting Notes: Fresh and lively, Gravel & Loam Sauvignon Blanc bursts with citrus zest and freshly cut grass, complemented by subtle tropical notes. On the palate, crisp acidity carries flavors of passionfruit, guava, and a hint of lemongrass, finishing with a clean, refreshing touch.
