Kelley Fox Wines Pinot Blanc Stater Vineyard
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Kelley Fox Wines Pinot Blanc Dundee Hills “Stater Vineyard” is an artisan, bone-dry white wine from Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
- Stater Vineyard, located between Eyrie Vineyards and Durant Vineyard near Bishop Block, is a leased vineyard within a beautiful grove in the Dundee Hills.
- It predominantly grows Pinot Noir and features a half-acre of Pinot Blanc, showcasing the volcanic Jory soils and unique forest-enclosed microclimate.
Varietal: 100% Pinot Blanc
Elaboration: The wine was whole cluster pressed after picking, settled in tank for a few days, then racked into neutral French oak barrels for élevage until bottling. It is dry and ML complete.
Tasting Notes: The Stater Pinot Blanc is utterly transparent and is pale, pastel yellow. The enticing nose is full of white peaches and soft, ocean-fresh minerality. The mouth is juicy and beautifully fruited and is well-balanced by the tension and acidity. The finish is mouth-watering and has the feeling of a coastal white wine. I’m so glad to have this type of expression of Pinot Blanc.
