Kelley Fox Wines Pinot Noir Weber Vineyard

Kelley Fox Wines Pinot Noir Weber Vineyard

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • This Pinot Noir is sourced from the Weber Vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA, known for its ancient volcanic soils that enhance grape quality.
  • The region’s warm days and cool nights contribute to the development of complex fruit flavors.
  • The vines, planted in 1983 on their own roots, are over 40 years old.

Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir

Elaboration: Winemaking involves 30% whole cluster fruit and aging in neutral Burgundy barrels (228L) made from tight-grain French oak.

Tasting Notes: The Weber Pinot Noir is a medium-dark, youthful, rich red with brilliant transparency. This Dundee Hills beauty has a nose of dark red and blue berries, along with minerals and subtle spices. There is a cool depth and intensity from the beginning that continues in the mouth with even darker fruit. This is a serious wine that is both gorgeous and elusive, and the finish is long and silky with great composition and tension.
