Kontos Cellars Gossamer

Kontos Cellars Gossamer

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • The Kontos Gossamer White Blend was sourced from Gamache, Las Canteras, and Olsen Vineyards in the Columbia Valley AVA.
  • The Columbia Valley AVA in southeastern Washington and northern Oregon is known for its arid, continental climate, diverse terroirs, and high-quality wine grapes.
  • The name Gossamer was given to this wine to describe its body and texture as “very light and delicate.”

Varietal: 62% Chardonnay, 31% Viognier, 7% Rousanne

Tasting Notes: Displays a brilliant lemon-gold color and floral aromas of Asian pear-apple, white peach, papaya, Key lime, apple blossoms, acacia flowers, honeysuckle, jasmine and wet stone. The flavors hit all the right notes with yellow and green fruits that are accented by grape and pear skins, peach stones and minerals. The vibrancy continues on the back with poire and pêche liqueurs, melon rind and lime zest, followed by a lingering, finely fruited finish.
