Kontos Cellars Malbec
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Malbec is Walla Walla’s secret specialty. Early ripening, bold and dark fruit, with chewy tannins.
- The Kontos Malbec was sourced from Seven Hills and Summit View vineyards.
Varietal: 100% Malbec
Tasting Notes: Deep purple color and ripe aromas of blackberry, blueberry, black currant, black roses, lavender, black olive, pepper and sweet incense. The flavors are deliciously generous, yet focused, brimming with loads of up front black and blue fruits that are intermixed with licorice, cola, black tea and stony minerals. The saturation continues on the back with macerated fruits, roasted pecans, crème de cassis and blueberry preserves, followed by a lingering sweet-dry tannin finish.
