L.A. Cetto Nebbiolo Private Reserve
WHY WE LOVE IT
- The L.A. Cetto Nebbiolo Private Reserve is a bold, full-bodied red wine from the Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California.
- This Mexican take on the Nebbiolo grape thrives in the region’s warm Mediterranean climate.
- The grapes are sourced from old vines averaging over 40 years of age.
Varietal Composition: 100% Nebbiolo
Elaboration: Hand-harvested grapes are fermented for 10 to 20 days and aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, followed by 24 months of bottle maturation.
Tasting Notes: The bouquet of baked black fruits and earth is modern and in good shape. This feels big and dense but structured, with blackberry, pepper, and mild raisin and prune flavors on the finish.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
L.A. Cetto, founded in 1928, is Mexico’s largest winery, producing about half of the country’s wine. Located in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, it is known for its award-winning red and white wines, which are exported worldwide. Established by Don Angelo Cetto, an Italian immigrant, the winery is now operated by his third-generation descendants, who blend traditional methods with modern cultivation techniques.
