Lamadrid Cabernet Sauvignon
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Lamadrid Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Vineyard Lamadrid, Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo.
- This vineyard, established in 1973, benefits from clay and sandy loam soil and is nurtured with organic drip irrigation, which contributes to the high quality of the grapes.
- The vineyard is located at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level.
Varietals: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Elaboration: Hand-picked grapes undergo cold maceration at 8°C for 5 days, followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks with native yeasts for 24 days at 25-28°C. The process includes 2 daily movements. Malolactic fermentation occurs in French oak barrels for 20 days, and the wine is aged for 9 months in third and fourth-use French oak barrels. This wine has not been clarified, filtered, nor cold stabilized.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of blackcurrant, citrus zest and vegetables. It is medium-bodied, firm and silky tannins, good acidity. Refined and fresh expression.
