WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Lamadrid Reserva Malbec is made from 100% estate-grown grapes, sourced from Vineyard Lamadrid in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo.
  • The vineyard was established in 1999 and benefits from stony loam soil and organic drip irrigation, which contribute to the quality of the grapes.
  • Average vine age of 20 years.

Varietals: 100% Malbec

Elaboration: Hand-picked grapes undergo cold maceration at 10ºC for 5 days, followed by alcoholic fermentation with autochthonous yeasts in stainless steel tanks for 20 days at temperatures close to 23˚C. During this process, 3 daily pump-overs and 1 delestage are carried out. The process includes 2 daily movements. Malolactic in French oak for 20 days. The wine is aged for 9 months in French oak. This wine has not been clarified, filtered or stabilized.

Tasting Notes: Blackberry, blackcurrant, tobacco, peppercorn and walnut-husk aromas. Medium-to-full-bodied with firm, tight-grained tannins. Firm and spiced.
