Sagemoor Rosé Gamache Vineyard
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Sagemoor Rosé, crafted by winemaker Aryn Morell in the picturesque landscape of White Bluffs, Washington, is a stunning testament to the enchanting qualities of Syrah, Grenache, and Viognier.
- Sourced from the exceptional Gamache Vineyard, the selection of vineyard blocks is meticulous: Syrah from Gamache Block 6, Semillon from Gamache Block 11, and Viognier from Gamache Block 5. Each component harmonizes to create a captivating wine that promises to delight.
- Sagemoor vineyards are certified sustainable through Sustainable WA or LIVE Certified.
Varietal: 54% Syrah, 38% Semillon, 8% Viognier
Elaboration: Fermentation occurs for 3 months, with 45.5% in barrels and 54.5% in stainless steel. The aging process after blending lasts for 1 month in 100% stainless steel.
Tasting Notes: Blood orange marmalade, watermelon and rose water lead the nose. Swirling brings up sweetness reminiscent of strawberry preserves and citrus with orange blossoms and saline. The palate is beautifully textured, with nectarine, citrus pith and sweet panna cotta. When its cool the citrus drives the wine but as it warms up, the stone fruit, watermelon and cream notes take over and show luxurious balance.
