Manotsuru Countless Visions Junmai Ginjo Nigori Sake

Manotsuru “Countless Visions” Junmai Ginjo Nigori Sake

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Eco-friendly farming.
  • Brewing of Manotsuru is mainly done by hand.
  • Premium sake from the Niigata prefecture – considered by many to be the best place in the world to find high quality sake.

Varietal Composition: 100% Rice Sake

Elaboration: This is a Nigori sake, which means it was unfiltered and has more rice particles; this creates a cloudy sake with a distinctive sweet taste. The label is inspired by the Sado Island Noh poet Zeami, and the name by a Bob Dylan lyric.

Grade: Junmai Ginjo (premium pure rice sake)
Nihonshu-do: -8 to -6 (sweet)
Rice: Koshitanrei & Koshiibuki
Yeast: k1701
Acidity: 1.6

Tasting Notes: Tropical notes of starfruit and guava hit the palate with a refreshing burst of flavor; a mild herbal element comes through with juniper and sweet basil on the clean, crisp finish. Shake before serving chilled.
