PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Mauro Molino a graduate from the Oenological School of Alba moved to Emilia Romagna in 1975 where he worked at the CIV wine group in Modena. Five years later upon the death of his father, Giuseppe, he returned to Langhe where he was raised and began renovating the vineyards and the cellar which resides in Annunziata di La Morra where his father’s house is located. He produced his first Barolo in 1982 and began to fall more and more in love with the single grape varieties typical of the area and in particular with Nebbiolo.
Today, Mauro Molino continues to produce its wines at Annunziata di La Morra. The total surface area of the vineyard is approximately 18 hectares, a large part of which is dedicated to Nebbiolo from Barolo and the remaining part is dedicated to the production of Barbera d’Alba, Langhe Dolcetto and a small production of Chardonnay.
He is now joined by his son, Matteo and daughter Martina, who both also attended the Oenology School of Alba. Together they focus on environmental sustainability and respect for the territory they love and continue this beautiful adventure of passion and dedication to winemaking.
