Monmousseau Crémant de Loire Blanc Brut
WHY WE LOVE IT
- Hand-harvested, classical Cremant de Loire!
- A bit of Cabernet Franc in the mix adds a beguiling herbaceous note.
Varietal Composition: Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Franc
Elaboration: Hand harvested fruit. This cuvée is elaborated according to the traditional method process. its secondary fermentation and maturation take place in our underground caves, at a natural constant temperature of 12°C for 24 months minimum.
Tasting Notes: The color is a very pure and pale yellow. Its bubbles are extremely subtle, fine and abundant. Its bouquet is fruity, lively and fresh. A perfect balance comes out of the slight acidity of the Chenin grape and the mouthful sensation of the Cabernet Franc which give this cuvée greatness and roundness.

Monmousseau is without question the Loire Valley’s most famous producer of sparkling wines. The winery was founded in 1886 with extensive vineyard holdings above ground and 15 kilometers of underground tunnels for fermentation and aging below them. Cremant de Touraine is something of a house specialty, as the were originally responsible for the creation of the Cremant de Touraine category. We are proudly working with a broad array of sparkling wines from Monmousseau, along with still examples of Vouvray and Cabernet Franc.
