WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Monte Ory is a brand linked to the Navarra Kingdom and one of its frontiers, the peak of Ori. This mountain has been a bridge between France and Spain and pays homage to the relationship between the old kingdom of Navarra and the french Basque Country.

Varietal Composition: 60% Garnacha 40% Tempranillo

Elaboration: Gently destemmed bunches are pressed, extracting the must to the temperature controlled stainless-steel tank. There is a light filtration before bottling.

Tasting Notes: Bright and intense strawberry red color. Very fruity, highly aromatic persistence with intense scents of red and citrus fruit and some floral scents. Intense, fruity, fresh, soft with well balanced favors.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND

The winery was named after the mountain Ori, reaching a peak of over 2,000 meters, which is placed in the most western part of the Pyrenees. It is said that it is a mysterious mountain, taking into account its importance inside the basque mythology. It is said that the goddess of nature, Mari, and the lord of the forest, Basajun, lived there.
