Varietal Composition: 92% Merlot, 6% Petite Sirah, 2% Zinfandel
Elaboration: Hand-harvested grapes were sorted and destemmed, then briefly cold-soaked to enhance color and aroma. Fermentation occurred in stainless-steel tanks with gentle pump-overs to achieve smooth tannins and vibrant fruit. The wine aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Intense aromas of raspberry, red currant and black cherry with subtle hints of violet. The palate is plush and fruit-driven, with flavors of blueberry and plum. Smooth and velvety tannins, hallmark this a high-quality Merlot. A long and lingering finish with a mix of dark chocolate, espresso and a touch of savory herbs.
