Owen Roe 'Crawford' Pinot Gris

Owen Roe ‘Crawford Beck Vineyard’ Pinot Gris

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Owen Roe’s Crawford Beck Vineyard Pinot Gris is a balanced white wine from Eola-Amity Hills of Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
  • The vineyard features a combination of volcanic and sedimentary soils, which help preserve acidity during the long ripening cycle, contributing to the wine’s character.

Varietal: 100% Pinot Gris

Tasting Notes: This wine shows subtle notes on the nose of ripe peach and Meyer lemon with a sweet and inviting salinity and minerality. Mouthwatering full flavors of tart apple follow on the palate, which give way to a honeydew melon.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND

Owen Roe winery, located in the Pacific Northwest, is known for its high-quality, terroir-driven wines and deep Irish roots. Founded in 1999 by David O’Reilly and his wife, Angelica, the winery emphasizes minimal intervention and storytelling that reflects Irish culture. Named after 17th-century Irish patriot Owen Roe O’Neill, each wine label narrates a tale from Irish lore and family history.

The estate specializes in outstanding wines from the Willamette and Yakima Valleys, partnering with over a dozen vineyards for the finest fruit. They feature two distinct brands—Growers Guild and Corvidae Wine Co.—to complement the Owen Roe wines.
