Paris Valley Road Cabernet Sauvignon

Paris Valley Road Cabernet Sauvignon

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • The king of California varietals is Cabernet Sauvignon and this is no exception.
  • This Cabernet sourced from both the Paso Robles and San Ardo vineyards. This easy drinking Cabernet was made to enjoy as an everyday sipper with or without food.

Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

Elaboration: Malolactic fermentation. Aged for 17 months in 25% New French and American Oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: Dark garnet color. Smoky aromas of cassis, roasted nuts and leather meet the nose. Fine grained tannins and acidity provide an ample backbone for the layers of plum, maraschino cherry, dark chocolate and black currants. This medium to full bodies wine finishes off with a kiss of toasty oak.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND

In 1995, the Stoller family of Sunridge Nurseries and Dana Merrill of Mesa Vineyard partnered to plant the Chalk Knoll Vineyard in San Ardo. Yes, Paris Valley Road is a very real place, The Chalk Knoll Vineyard is nestled against this stretch of dirt road that meanders along the scenic foothills of the southern Monterey Coast and located only 35 miles in from the Pacific Ocean. These vineyards are rich with history dating back to the 1800’s and complete with a turn of the 19th century adobe, still standing today. Their wines are those of intensity and unique mineral qualities, wines you can drink tonight and for years to come.
