Radley & Finch “Viking Point” Sauvignon Blanc
WHY WE LOVE IT
- From South Africa’s Western Cape, blended from several vineyard sites, mainly near the Voor-Paardeberg Mountain, about an hour north of Cape Town.
- A modern, New World–style Sauvignon Blanc.
- Bottled under screw cap for easy, everyday enjoyment.
Varietal: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Elaboration: Each vineyard lot is fermented in stainless steel and rests on fine lees until the final blend is made. The blending aims for a fine balance between greener and riper flavors, giving the wine layers and complexity.
Tasting Notes: Combines freshness, volume, and great drinkability. Flavors range from green figs and bright lime to riper tropical fruit and hints of white stone fruit.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND
Radley & Finch is a range of everyday South African wines made by winemaker Thinus Kruger and importer Pascal Schildt. Named for To Kill a Mockingbird but far more light-hearted than the book, the range lives by one motto: optimism “beats the pants off pessimism”. The goal is to cut through wine snobbery and offer an easy, honest way into South African wine.
Each wine features a single grape South Africans love, from Chenin Blanc to Pinotage and Shiraz. The grapes come mostly from sustainable farms near the Voor-Paardeberg Mountain, an hour north of Cape Town, with some from Stellenbosch. The wines are made for freshness and fruit, with little or no oak.
